The Arabia Red Sea coast offers diverse diving opportunities to all levels of divers and throughout the summer and winter seasons. The Arabian Red Sea coast stretches in the north from the Gulf of Aqaba to the Jizan in the south. For most of our dive trips we visit the reefs and shoals of Yanbu in the north, Rabigh in the central area and Farasan banks to the south.
Yanbu offers many near and offshore reefs with Shi’b Al Sabah (7 reefs) being the most well known. Here you will find reefs like Sha’ab al Markeb, Abu Sulul , Mansi , Tawil , Abu Galawa , Shabarir and Testes and of course the Iona wreck with its propeller at a depth of 40m.
Rabigh is found south of Yanbu and north of Jeddah and boasts the beautiful Shi’b Al-Khamsa (5 Reefs). The reefs are all within short sailing distance of each other minimizing travelling time between dives.
Down to the south of Saudi Arabia, 230km south of Jeddah we dive in the well known Farasan banks. The banks also sport many islands that are inhabited by birds and provide nesting areas for turtles. Some of the well known dive sites are MarMar, Dohra, Shi’b Ammar, Gorgonian point and Dannak.
We mainly restrict diving in the winter months to Farasan where the water temperature very seldom drops below 80 Fahrenheit in the winter.
